Digiata Celebrates 25 Years as Financial Services' Trusted Technology Partner

Digiata, a leading financial services technology solutions provider, today celebrates 25 years since the founders, set out with a simple ambition: to become the trusted integration partner to the financial services industry.
Digiata's story began in 2001, out of a garage in Wimbledon, London, with the launch of Linx 1.0, the integration platform that would go on to underpin decades of financial services automation. Twenty-five years later, Digiata sits at the heart of mission-critical systems for some of the region's largest banks, insurers and asset managers.
Along the way, Digiata built enduring relationships that define the business today. Nedbank alone has commissioned hundreds of projects across Business Banking, Capital and Private Wealth. Liberty has grown into a 100-project partnership. And more than a decade working with Discovery and Vitality has earned Digiata numerous Vitality Service Provider of the Year awards. The multi-year Standard Bank Africa migration programme alone took Digiata's teams into more than a dozen countries across the continent, from Namibia and Botswana to Nigeria and Ghana.
"Celebrating 25 years is a significant milestone for any business, but especially in technology. Over that time, Digiata has built a reputation for delivering solutions that clients can trust, not because we chase every new trend, but because we focus on applying technology responsibly and in ways that create lasting value. Our success has been built on long-term relationships, disciplined execution, and a commitment to doing what's right for our clients. As we look ahead, those principles remain unchanged, even as we embrace the opportunities that AI and modern technologies present." - Nemanja Stabic, Group CEO of Digiata.
Built on People and Culture
Digiata's growth from its founding to a business spanning three cities has been matched by an equally deliberate investment in its people and culture, from the Digiata Foundation's ongoing support of tech talent through organisations such as Codespace and GirlCode, to the traditions, big and small, that have carried through 25 years of change. What hasn't changed, through all of it, is the philosophy Digiata was built on: smart people, trusted technology and years of experience, in service of fast, reliable solutions that make businesses better.
A Thank You
None of this happens without the clients who trusted Digiata with their most critical systems, some for the better part of 25 years, and the people who showed up every day to build, migrate, troubleshoot and support them. "To every client who has trusted us with the systems their business runs on, thank you for that trust, and for pushing us to keep getting better," said Stabic. "And to every person who has worn a Digiata cap, in a garage, an office, or on a plane to a country we'd never worked in before: this milestone belongs to you as much as it does to the founders."
The Next Chapter: AI-First Engineering
Digiata enters its next 25 years as an AI-first engineering partner, built on Stadium Builder a framework for building production-grade UIs at AI speed, backed by the same domain knowledge, patterns and guardrails that have underpinned the business since day one.
"We're not chasing AI for its own sake," added Stabic. "We're doing what we've always done: bringing rigour and deep domain expertise to solve real problems for financial services businesses. AI is simply the next tool in that toolkit, and our first production deployment on Stadium Builder shows what's possible when you combine that expertise with the pace AI now makes possible."
With offices in Cape Town and Johannesburg, and a growing footprint across Sub-Saharan Africa and the United Kingdom, Digiata looks ahead to its next chapter with the same ambition that started it all in 2001: to be the most trusted technology partner in financial services.
