As 2025 draws to a close, Digiata reflects on a year of change, groundbreaking innovation, and deepened commitment to our clients and community.  This year saw us lean decisively into the future of automated financial services, anchored by a strengthened leadersteam and a fierce focus on AI-driven efficiency.

Strategic Leadership and Market Expansions

The year 2025 was marked by significant evolution at the highest level, positioning Digiata for accelerated international growth in a rapidly changing digital landscape.

Global Footprint and Client Wins

In a major step for international growth, we formally launched our UK office, establishing a regular and dedicated presence within the UK insurance market. This expansion, coupled with our domestic strength, resulted in securing new clients across both South Africa and the UK, proving the increasing global relevance of our solutions and expertise.

Key Partnerships

Our partnership with Affinity Initiative, announced in May, has been integral to our UK market awareness. This collaboration brings together complementary expertise that will enable UK insurers and brokers to accelerate their digital transformation journeys and create meaningful competitive advantages. Our continued long-term partnership with the Camelot Network continues to support our growth strategy in the UK.

Innovation, Product Alignment, and Industry Engagement

The core of Digiata's success lies in transforming complex operational challenges into streamlined intelligent automated processes. 2025 was a breakthrough year for strategic product evolution and market engagement.

The AI Frontier and Product Realignment

This year, we executed a definitive strategic shift toward Artificial Intelligence. We successfully integrated AI-assisted development into our toolkit, completed our first successful AI Proof of Concept (POC), and established thought leadership with a key publication on "AI Agentic Systems: The Next Frontier for Financial Services Operations."

Market Engagement and Thought Leadership

We increased our visible presence and engagement within the industry this year. We proudly exhibited at PIPC 2025, meeting over 700 African payment professionals over two days. We also had the pleasure of co-hosting a major event on AI Implementation for Insurers at the famous Lloyd's Library in London, welcoming over 120 C-suite leaders to discuss the practical application of AI in the sector.

Investing in People, Culture, and Recognition

Our vibrant culture remains the foundation of our success. Digiata is a blend of smart, curious people, trusted technology, and an unwavering commitment to quality.

External Recognition

Our commitment to excellence was once again recognised externally where we were honoured to receive multiple nominations for the prestigious Vitality Supplier Awards in the “Most Innovative Supplier of the Year Award” and “Service Provider of the Year Award”.

Staff Development and Social Connection

Fostering a vibrant internal culture remained a priority, achieved through a blend of professional development and social activities.

  • Professional Growth: We ran and continue to run internal programmes like the Monthly Tech Talks and the launch of the Digiata Capital Club and DigiBytes Programming Club respectively.
  • Community and Team Events: We enjoyed many social events designed to build team spirit, including the Vitality Run Series, the challenging Warrior Race, Pub Quizzes, a Potjiekos competition, and a competitive FIFA Tournament.

The Digiata Foundation - Empowering the Next Generation

Our commitment to building a digitally inclusive future intensified in 2025, focused on practical skills development and impactful community outreach.

Digital Skills Development & Alumni Success

This year solidified our role in nurturing tech talent through tangible support for our educational partners:

  • Codespace: In June, we sponsored six new students embarking on the Software Development course and donated six laptops to support their studies. A major highlight in November was the CodeSpace Pitch Challenge, where Foundation member Carla Horak served as a judge, and one of our sponsored students won the Grand Prize.
  • GirlCode: In April, we sponsored a student who embarked on the intensive 18-month Software Development learnership.
  • YES4Youth Alumni: In September, we were proud to learn that an alumnus previously sponsored by Digiata was selected as a YES Top 35 Under 35 Alumni for 2025.

Community Engagement Highlights

Our teams actively took part in initiatives to support various communities:

  • Mandela Day: We joined Ladles of Love for their annual initiative in both Johannesburg and Cape Town, taking part in various activities focused on supporting vulnerable children.
  • We proudly took part in Slipper Day in support of the Reach for a Dream foundation, raising funds across both our offices.
  • Santa Shoebox Project: Our teams rallied to pack and donate 64 boxes spreading cheer across the country.

Looking Ahead to 2026

The momentum of 2025, where we were driven by our clients to pursue greater projects, the rise of integration of AI, and a growing international footprint, propels us into the new year with great excitement. We look forward to further scaling our AI solutions, strengthening our presence in the UK market, and continuing to deliver maximum value through seamless business automation.
