A well known municipality required a system which could manage all sales received from transactions from their prepaid electricity meters.
As the middle point between the consumer and the service provider this critical part of the transaction process required a system which could validate both top-up and reversal transactions in the process.
THE CHALLENGE OF AUTOMATING THE PAYMENT PROCESS
For the back office service provider, the system was required to not only manage transactions, exceptions and view reports
but also address an entire suite of other back office administrative functionality.
The system not only needed to be tailor made as per customer requirements but required a user friendly web based portal
where customers could top-up their prepaid electricity as well as view and download transactional documents such as pro-forma invoices, tax
invoices and credit notes.
Prepaid Top-Up Allocation Engine was specifically designed to cover all of the requirements and the solution was
integrated across multiple vendors to allow seamless and fully automated top-ups for individuals and business entities. Additional functionality
was also included to automatically reconcile transactions received against all major bank statement formats as well as the ability to
manually reconcile exceptions.
